What is the best shampoo for kinky curly hair to get a straighter look?

I have tried several shampoos and conditioners and my hair still very kinky curly. I even tried the Pantene extra straight and my hair still dries extremely curly. I am not expecting a miracle for my hair to be straight but it would be nice if i can find a shampoo and conditioner were at least my hair isn't as curly or more relaxed. I also need a good hair gel for a straighter look not the crunchy for curly hair ones. Any suggestions? What is the best shampoo for kinky curly hair to get a straighter look?
I've tried dozens of shampoos and conditioners that promise straight hair, but nothing does it. Herbal Essences, Pantene, you name it. They don't do anything unless you only have a little wave to begin with. You and I just have to accept that we have curly hair, at least right after we wash it. Still, afterwards you can blow-dry, flat-iron, whatever.

I don't know about gels, but I'd recommend VO5 Extreme Style Heat Defense Conditioning Spray; I use it before flat-ironing my hair, and it works like magic. It's ridiculously cheap (only about $3) in Walmart, but it's as good as or better than Tresemme's spray. Good luck! What is the best shampoo for kinky curly hair to get a straighter look?
There is no real difference between different shampoos or conditioners on the market. Only chemical processes or heat treatments can change the curliness of your hair.
Trust me, I have tried EVERYTHING. Shampoo is simply not for straightening hair. Hopefully one day someone will come out with a shampoo that really can straighten.
Sunsilk shampoos and conditioners make your hair extra smooth but their is no product that can make it dry straighter. I suggest getting the Japanese Straightening perm .
TRUST ME!!!! NO HOPE FOR CURLY OR KINKY HAIR!!!! IVE TRIED EVERYTHING!!!!! DONT WASTE YOU MONEY ON SOME HAIR PRODUCTS THAT SAY THEY WILL MAKE IT MORE STRAIGHT!!!! IT WONT WORK TAKE IT FROM SOMEBODY WHO KNOWS!!!

What is the best shampoo for long color treated hair?

I like to dye my hair auburn (which fades fast). Right now it's at my bra strap (almost mid-back) but I want it to get to my waist. What shampoo is good for this? I care more about growing it than I do about the color. I hear that sulfate-free shampoos are good. Any ideas? What is the best shampoo for long color treated hair?

I don't have a specific recommendation because it depends on where you live and what is available there. The problem is shampooing frequently strips the natural oils from your hair. The condition-wash-condition method described on the site below is good for that. The things you want to avoid in shampoos and conditioners are Sulfates and Silicones. Sulfates (ingredients will end in 'ate' such as sodium laurel sulfate) are put into shampoos, soaps, detergents, and the like for no purpose other than to create lather. The lather doesn't do anything but people like lather because it makes them feel like they are really cleaning things, so the companies put it in there. It's kind of like how cheddar cheese is actually white but is dyed orange because that's what people accept/like. Sulfates strip and dry your hair. Look for any shampoo that says sulfate free. Silicone's on the other hand, coat the hair strand to make it appear smoother and shinier. They build up on your hair though, and actually cause it to become dryer and more damaged because when it coats the hair it also seals OUT any more moisture. I could go on forever about how to treat your hair, but this sit has it all anyways. http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjo鈥?/a>What is the best shampoo for long color treated hair?
Well, the best thing you could get is a shampoo and conditioner that are salt free, and claim to be better for color treated hair. If you flat iron or curl your hair, be sure to use a protecting spray or serum. Also, consider splurging on an expensive shampoo, it's really worth it.
go to the salone they will deffeleny have one

I would suggest Garnier Fructis Oil Repair shampoo and conditioner. It really helps remove the dryness and keeps your head clean and stops itching.

Even Ultra doux is a good option..

Dont go for Dove. It has a lot of alcohol content. It makes the scalp more dry and itchy.Which is the best shampoo for dry and itchy scalp with no dandruff?

They have different collections for different hair types including a Curling Citrus Mango collection which is amazing! You should check it out. You'll love it!

    paul mitchel, sunsilk
I have naturally kinky hair too and I've tried everything. I use either Matrix Sleek Look or Paul Mitchell Color Stay. Then when it's wet I put on aquage curl serum, this makes it shiny and keeps it from frizzing. Then I use moose or gel to get control so I don't turn into a poodle. You know what I'm talking about. :%26gt;)
my hair is curly too but i have the big curly ones that are as wild as it gets after i take a bath, and since i cant find the right one for my hair, i use Ivory shampoo and conditioner, the shampoo i use only 3-4 times a day, conditioners are much better so i use it everyday, then i apply baby oil, just three to four drops on your palm will do, rub it then apply on hair a liitle later after shower, i keep my hair longer coz the shorter it is, the wilder it goes,hehe.. did i help?

What is the best shampoo for greasy hair?

I have mid-length fine and thin hair. On the second day after I have washed my hair, it always turns greasy. Does anyone know an anti-grease shampoo and conditioner that actually works? Or any other remedies? What is the best shampoo for greasy hair?
I have the same hair type as you and I tried all sorts of shampoo and none worked for me.

Washing hair more than twice a weeks bad as well.

Someone told me to buy dry shampoo ( i'd never heard of it ) so I got some from my chemist. Its excellent. Now I wash my hair twice a week or even just once a week with water and shampoo and in between washes, I use dry shampoo. My hairs growing faster ( don't know why) and seems a lot healthier.

Here's a link but you can get it at most chemists for about 拢1.50 - 拢2

Try Neutrogena庐 T/Gel庐 Shampoo for Greasy Hair. It works absolutley brilliantly. I used the one for dandruff and after 1 week of using it my scalp as clear and iv never had the problem since.
The Tail %26amp; Mane products do work well.

One thing you must try is so-o good for your hair %26amp; cheap too is a natural remedy.

After washing and conditioning hair, (only ends and not scalp)

drench your hair in vinegar. It's amazing. It will strip your hair of build ups like beauty products, oils, pollution, etc..Your hair will shine and look healthy.
I also asked a similar question to this yesterday.

One of the helpful answers was to use baby powder on your scalp which absorbs the oil on your scalp.

Do not use head and shoulders as it is for hair with dandruff = dry scalp.

I use Herbal essences which I think is pretty good. I keep from putting conditioner anywhere near my scalp. Only condition the length of your hair.
My hair is the same, i have greasy hair and have to wash it every 2 days. I like head and shoulders for greasy hair. Ive yet to find a shampoo that keeps your hair clean for longer than that.
A shampoo with tea tree oil or you can mix some into the shampoo you already have. But be careful though its super strong so I would look up home remedies and find out exactly how much to use if you should decide to try it.
Buy Wella Lifetex! It's great! Seriously, cause I have greasy hair too and I used to use it and now my hair is non greasy.
the head and shoulders one for greasy hair

its like a lemony one i think

vaguely remember it, works really well and smells gorgeous too

    =]
only use a dollop or a little more of conditioner, since its so thin u don't need so much as thick haired girls. pantene, suave naturals or V05 are all good and cheap, pantene being most expensive
I would recommend head and shoulders,if that doesn't work just see your hair dresser, they may be able to recommend something.
The horse shampoo..there are a couple of different varieties in the shampoo isle. Its usually away form the regular ones..i know it sounds weird, but it works great
dove conditioner or apply lemon juice for 20 mins.
The cheapest will do fine. Shampoo manufacturers' claims are a con.
    johnsons baby shampoo
    Voseen.
T-Gel Total killed my scalp a little bit!

Vichy Dercos works out perfectly nowadays for me...tryit!
    herbal essences
Vosene is good, gets my hair squeaky clean.

You should try Clinic All Clear.

What is the best shampoo and conditioner?

I have thick hair, and I want this to make my hair healthier and shinier. Any suggestions? Thanks! What is the best shampoo and conditioner?
I go back and forth. At both times I have shampoo and conditioner in Biolage Hydratherapie, and Smootherapie. And also Nutregena Tripe Moisture Therapy. All three shampoos and conditioners in my shower. Most used is the hydratherapie. WHen I know Im going to do my hair, as in blow dry, straighten, curl, I use the smootherapie. And once a week for sure, I use the nutregena, it replenishes hair, dryness, thickness. Its a great shampoo and cond. but not for daily use, as it can weigh hair down. I also use from avon ( cheaper than paul mitchell and biolage) dry ends serum, its just a small bottle, use on wet or dry hair, to help prevent dry ends. What is the best shampoo and conditioner?
I love treseme's conditioner. The one called smooth and silky.

Also, herbal essence makes a lot of shampoos and conditioners for certain types of hair. I like the hello hydration for dryed out hair or the one for curly hair.

    Also, I like garnier fructis.
you can put a hair mask on it

    OR

you can put some serum on it to make it look shinier but be careful not to put to much on it so it doesnt look greasy =]
I absolutely love Herbal Essence's shampoo %26amp; conditioner.

It makes my hair super soft %26amp; shiny. I use the one for long hair, but all of them are good %26amp; they smell great :)

well i like loreal elvive, herbal essence and the paul mitchell ones. have a few of each and just tend to use a different one each time i wash my hair.paul mitchell has a good one which makes your hair more sleek. its calld skinny hair.

i have a few by tigi as well the bed head ones, they are pretty good too. best thing to do is go to hair dressers and buy sum from there they will kno what is best for your hair. x
kerastase, it might be a bit pricey but if you really want something that actually makes a difference (I have curly hair too). kerastase.com then go to their elasto-curl products
i have same problem and same hair(i guess) try any shampoo free from sodium laureth sulfate..the ones having this ingredient it damage and dry your hair
I would say Sunsilk the pink one....it helps keep shine and strength to your hair while still keeping it soft!
I think the best shampoo for you is Pantene-Blonde expressions

and I know this because I have dirty blonde hair too and I have this same shampoo it works great

What is the best shampoo and conditioner to use?

I'm tyring to get my hair healthier, and I've recently been using garnier fructis, but I want something that can get my hair healthier. Especially this summer my hair has been easily getting dried out. Can anyone recommend what I should use? What is the best shampoo and conditioner to use?
I have always used Tres Emme. It's sold at regular drug stores for a very good price....like 3.50 for a 32 oz bottle.

I switched to garnier fructis for a few months and the next time I saw my stylist, she said my ahir looked really dry and unhealthy.

I switched back to the Tres Emme and she hasn't mentioned anything like that again. I use the Moisture Rich shampoo and the Anti-breakage conditioner.

Before discovering Tres Emme, I always used Pantene...and it always gave me dandruff. What is the best shampoo and conditioner to use?
For me and my extremely dry hair I use Bed Head products. They work like a charm and they have the best scents ever! I use their Oatmeal and Honey damaged hair shampoo and conditioner, and it smells sooo good! My friends are always saying my hair smells like cookies! LOL :D
Depends on what kind of hair you have. I'd go in to a proffesional hair place, like Regis or something, not family owned or Great Clips, and ask them, they should know.
Herbal Essences! Hello Hydration conditioner, or if your hair is curly also get the purple bottle for curly hair. Chi makes good products too. Krystase is expensive but the conditioner is good. :D
i use herbal essences. herbal essences has many different types. one of them is called ';Hello Hydration';. this may be what you are looking for.

    p.s. it also smells really good (;
i would say somewhere along the pantene pro-v line. they've worked wonders for me after testing many different shampoo and conditioners!
Use Pantene, I use it and it really moistens my hair, they have one called moisture renewal. Shampoo and Conditioner.
Redken. its great for making your air more healthy. and if you have any die or bleach in your hair, it will keep the color in longer.
Try Biolage smooth therapie smoothing shampoo. It gives great texture and moisture to your hair.
I like herbal essence because it gives me an orgasm every time I wash my hair.
    herbal essence hello hydration shampoo
    Pantene!
Depends on your hair. No shampoo is best for everyone.
i like pantene...even more than expensive brands

I have unmanagable hair and I go through shampoos a ton!! So I suggest Aussie, Sunsilk, and Garnier Fructis!!! They are all great. Aussie works great for a sleek smooth look. Sunsilk work great for people who have dry, frizzie, flat ordamaged hair (it is magic!!). And Garnier work great for normal hair!! Good Luck!
    Pantene Pro-V.
OJON is the best! Great for thin and damaged hair. Makes your hair much more thicker and softer plus it smells great. Look on QVC or google OJON.
I have hair similar to yours and I swear by Garnier Fructis, either the Long and Strong formula, or the Volumizing formula. You can by it anywhere. Shampoo and conditioner both come in bright green bottles. And it makes your hair smell so good too!
GARNIER FRUCTIS or RUSK (which is more $$$)
    loreal pro vibe.
    REDKIN
I use Pantene Pro-V and my hair is shiny, soft, and beautiful.
i have hair similar to what you have described and i use boilage normalizing shampoo and detangling solution. you can only get them in salons and are about $20 each for the 1 liter bottles. even if those specific ones aren't right for you the brand is worth it's weight in gold. my hair won't put up with any other shampoo and believe me I've tired.
I really like anything by Pantene or Aussie.

I had a reaction to some medicine and my hair started to fall out slightly. I researched on-line and judged the best shampoos and conditioners to be anything that is organic/natural, like ';Jason';. Most websites against multi-national products alerted the reader to the dangers of a chemical found in them: Polymethacrylamidopropyltrimonium

Urban Dictionary claims it is no longer in use, yet it's listed on all my old shampoo bottles. And regular cosmetic sites refer to it and its ';usefulness';. There are many organic shampoos you can purchase in drug or department stores. Try one of them for a change. What is the best shampoo and conditioner?

i've used alterna products for 11 years. have processed hair. the stuff is incredible and i'd never use anything else. my beautician says my hair is better than any of her other customers and holds color better, too.
I would recommend a shampoo by Sunsilk or Paul Mitchell. They might be a bit more pricey than some of the other brands but they provide a lot of bounce and make your hair super shiny %26amp; silky! :)
redken all soft shampoo and conditioner

i have the conditoner love it !! really good and rich it's not going to make your hair feels greay apply it more to the end then to the roots
redken. it might be expenive but it works!!!
try the Sheer Blonde collection by John Freida.
    Tresseme'
Infusium 23 is GREAT. :) Use the kinds for dry and damaged hair. Also try getting a conditioning treatment that you can do about once a week... your hair will look better and better everyday! :D
    bed head
i use pantene except its pantene for colored women dont wat the difference is though............
The best shampoo's can always be found at your salon. Don't get garnier fructise, pantine etc. etc. they tend to not work as well. I've tried many salon products and my two favorite are Bumble %26amp; Bumble wich is as most salons and EVERYTHING works well. Arbonne also works extremely well but isn't sold at as many salons and is really expensive.

Arbonne's Intelligence is AMAZING! My hair was just like yours sounds now but when I started using Arbonne it was soo much better in just a week.
i would say either bed head or tresemme

    :)
    not sure
    aussie it's awesome

if its dry use Aussie Most i have it and it makes you hair soo soft mmmmm delicious :)

Different products work for different people. You might want to go to a salon and have them evaluate your hair and suggest products.

On a personal note, I had a similar issues years ago and neede to make sure that what ever i did would not leave me oily as i tend to be like that anyway. I used a product fpr damaged hair everyday and they did intense treatments a couple of times a week to help. The brand never mattered and eventually things got better.
try mane n' tail. i use it and LOVE IT!!! i have told this to so many people lol. its great stuff. it makes hair shiny and healthy and can be noticed after the first use. it protects against breakage which can make it seem like its growing really fast. it was originially made for horses so it may seem wierd but loads of people use it now. its also pretty cheap. just give it a try. hope this helped :)
I love Biolage or Tiger they both have a great smell and are amazing with your hair! It's like you just came from the salon every day!
    Shampoo: Herbal Essences-Hello Hydration

    Best shampoo?

    I have majorly curly hair.

I mean REALLY REALLY curly hair. Not those cute locks of hair, either. It gets poofy, also. I'm sick and tired of putting it up all the time. I want to wear it down, but gel doesn't help. I currently use Herbal Essences shampoo for people with curly hair. It doesn't seem to be helping. What's the best shampoo for people with curly hair, and reduces the poof?Best shampoo?
    Try Fredrik FekkaiBest shampoo?
I agree with Fredrik Fekkai. Also, AVEDA products are amazing. Your hair never gets greasy and is ALWAYS silky with that stuff.
Try Back to Basics. That is a very good conditioner/shampoo that will leave your hair smelling wonderful and feeling soft. I find Herbal Essences to be very drying.
    Kerastase Shampoo for Curly Hair

It will make your hair feel smoother, softer and it helps in detangling curly hair
i have the same problem too and TRESSEME shampoo and conditioner really works. get the moistourizing conditioner to decrease the poofing. i bet it will work for you
    try redken.

    Best shampoo?

I went to the hair salon last week, and my stylist told me that the shampoo I've been using (Fructis) is one of the worst and will leave a film on your hair. She recommended La Biosthetique so I bought some. However, I can't justify spending this much on a regular shampoo. Can someone *who is familiar with this particular product* (La Biosthetique) recommend a cheaper product with the same features? I have coloured hair that is straight. I would rather not use a drugstore brand anymore, ie. I'm looking for a professional product, probably.Best shampoo?
aveda....ive been using aveda hair care products for years....i have straight dark/high lighted hair.....and i use the blue malva to keep my highlights blonde %26amp; not brassy.....its awesome. sometimes ill cheap out %26amp; get a drugstore shampoo, i like the suave salon styles.....but if you want a great professional quality line, go with aveda.Best shampoo?
I thought tresemme was a professional product, you should call her/him and ask her/him if that is ok to use. i am so glad that i know fructis is bad, that used to be my favorite. So i don't think i helped you much, but you helped me.
There's a brand called Palmolive, I know for sure that it's sold in the Philippines. I don't know about the U.S., but you can always look it up. My grandmother gave me some as a gift and for the time period I used it, my hair was in the best condition ever.
    dove for lightened hair

    http://www.dove.ca/hair/shampoo/lightene鈥?/a>

please try it it works wonderfully and makes your hair very soft and shiny!
If you are worried about leaving a film on your hair, try Dawn dishwashing liquid. A friend of mine in high school got me started on using it and it does an excellent job of stripping off the oil and other gunk.
I've never heard of La Biosthetique. I've had hair stylist tell me that what I was using was not good either. I think they are just trying to get you to buy their expensive products.

I also color my hair. I like Pantene for color treated hair. My stylist recently gave me samples of Redkin and I like it but like you, I don't know if I want to spend that much on shampoo and conditioner.

    Good Luck!
i love Joico hair products because they are good for recontructing the hair and esp if you heat style alot or color and perm.

Bumble and Bumble and Kenra are also good moisturizing products.

Ive seen alot of biolage, redken and matrix at drugstores and target, it makes me not want to buy them anymore and i dont think those brands are as good as Joico, Kenra, Fredric Fekkhai, Bumble and Bumble, Aveda and Kerastase
the new kind of herbal esenceis great
KMS California shampoo is pretty good.

    or Redken's.

Or you could try Herbal Essences.
HAIR SALONS SAY THAT TO ALL SHAMPOO SO YOU CAN BUY THIERS
Dove anything is byfar (for me) the best, and cheapest shampoo and conditioner. Just find one that matches your hair type, they have all kinds and it should work fine.

    I love Pantene!!
tressemme but the best shampoo is AUSSY it leaves your hair soft and silky.
i think that Herbal Essences has the best smell. It is not very expensive.. I have tried many other salon shampoos, mostly bc the hairstylist reccommended them, but I cannot say they performed any better than the less expensive ones.. i do not like Aussie, bc it has a smell to it that gives me migraines
Aveda for me has always worked (they have it for women and men)

    Best shampoo?

what is the best shampoo for curly hair to make it pretty and shiny?Best shampoo?
You could always use Matrix Curl Life. I used to use that when I used to leave my hair curly. But now I love to flat iron it with this new cermaic/tourmaline flat iron I got called Sedu, and it doesn't damage my hair which I love. I recently bought this new shampoo and conditioner though made especially to get your hair shiny and softer. The shampoo is called NIOXIN Smoothing ACTIVES and the conditioner is called Joico K-PAK MOISTURE. I didn't try them out yet, but will do so today. They're professional salon products though so I expect them to do a good job!Best shampoo?
    USE AUSSIE MOIST!

garnier fructis! I also have curly hair, so after washing and drying my hair i also put a little bit of hair wax in to to make the curls more defined and shiny
You just can't go wrong with Pantene.
I use Nexxus brand, Therappe, Humtress, great stuff.
matrix has a lot of good lines, you should try it they make your hair really shine.

    Mane%26amp;Tail

    it's supposable ';horse'; shampoo

    but that doesn't matter

    it works really well!

but if you don't want to use it because it's ';house'; shampoo

then you could always use Paul Mitchell

p.s. you don't want to use Pantene, Herbal Essence, Tresseme all those common brands they are all the same...but if u do want to use a common brand go for SunSilk.
Joico K-Pak shampoo %26amp; conditioner are the best for damaged hair. The conditioner can be used daily or as a deep conditioning mask.
I know sounds crazy but I absoloutly LIVE by Herbal Essances!!! To strengthen, try their strengthening shampoo. To starighten out those curls, add in their Straightening Conditioner. I use it all the time!
Mane %26amp; Tail rocks! Especially if you have rough hair! It tames ur hair down, this is what is use! Also to make your hair smooth and silky, use sun silk (The ones in the pink and green and blue bottles) These 2 r awesome!

my absolute favorite shampoo is Paul Mitchell's Lemon Sage Thickening Shampoo. I have very thin hair aswell, but this shampoo doesnt allow my hair to break, gives my scalp a deep/ rich clean every time, and has many natural ingredients.

While washing my hair, my scalp experiences a mint cool sensation that is that is enhanced when you run water through your hair to rinse. You can feel your hair's improvement with every wash.
    dove

Pantene is great for shine and control but so is Sauve. Depends on what you want to spend. You should change your shampoo/conditioner every six months to prevent buildup. That goes for makeup too.

  • What is the best shampoo for just bleached hair?

Everytime I get my hair bleached, it fades within a week. I want to keep it as blonde for as long as possible. What is the best shampoo to use. I have tried everything and they all seem to strip it out within weeks, even if it says color safe.

Thanks! What is the best shampoo for just bleached hair?

They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Kroger, Duane Reade, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!

http://organixhair.com/What is the best shampoo for just bleached hair?
Have you ever heard TIGI? They have the best series for blonde hair. It is called DUMB BLONDE, and it is available in a salons. For bleached hair the most important care is conditioner. In TIGI s they have conditioner and shampoo for bleached hair. Bleached hair is very dry and needs moisturizers and thats why the color can fade away. The actual color isnt going anywhere but it looses its shine and it looks to you like the color fades. When you use conditioner it closes the top surface of hair, and when the surface is closed hair shines. Hope that helped:)
Try Shimmer Lights. It's a shampoo with purple pigments. Also, maybe it's not your shampoo that's stripping out the color -- maybe it's the conditioner. I always use Feria after color conditioner the first time I wash my hair after bleaching. You can get a tube of it at Sally's for about $7.
Along with using a DEEP conditioner such as Purology, you should use something like Shimmer lites. Its a purple shampoo that will help you maintain that color. The blonde wont get Brassy or orange if you use this Shampoo. Use it along with your regular Shampoo and it will help Dramatically!

You can find it at nearly any beauty supply store

thats exactly the same as my hair, if i blow dry it, it goes majorrr frizzy and big ( HORRIBLE), so i dry mine naturally too. I use dove which is really good, i wouldnt suggest all these shampoo's and conditioner which say they get rid of frizz, because they really dont. Dove lets your hair shine and curl.

  • What is the best shampoo to use regularly?

I have also been having a dandruff problem for about a week, so what's the best anti-dandruff shampoo? What is the best shampoo to use regularly?
well pert plus is always a favorite of mineWhat is the best shampoo to use regularly?
The best shampoo to use regularly is the one the your hair stylist or barber recommends for you hair. This is something you should ask the person that takes care of your hair.
i have used sauve for years..i love it and they have a dandruff product also.
Head and Shoulders helps moisturize your scalp and eliminates 100% of dandruff
Keto.....u can get it in a drug strore, about 5 dollor it comes in a small bottle but it really work, and you can use it every other day...
Try a anti-dandruff version of Garnier Fructis, that stuff works good. I'm sure there's one available.
Paul Mitchell makes some great products. Their Tea Tree shampoo is great for dandruff. Talk to a professinal stylist, they can recomend the right products for your hair type.
aussie mega they leave no build up so can be used twice a day if needed
I have always used Aveda products and they have a product for most everyones type of hair. Shampure is a good everyday shampoo W/ rosemary mint for a conditioning after the shampoo. You could check it out at aveda.com. Hope this has helped.
It is not good to use any shampoo regularly. You should switch every couple of months. It depends on what kind of hair you have depending on what shampoos are better for you. Using the wrong kind, could be why you have dandruff. Try changing shampoos and if that does not work. Try Head and Shoulders.
Aveda's Scalp Benefits shampoo %26amp; conditioner will help to balance the oils from your scalp to the hair and keep it nice. DO NOT use a ';dandruff'; shampoo as they dry the scalp to keep the dandruff away and your body in turn says ';scalp is dry, make more oil'; and thus starts the vicious cycle so many people are stuck in. Also, you do not want to wash your hair more than once a day, rinsing is fine if needed, but not shampooing for the same reasons as above.

What is the best shampoo system for thin hair that breaks easily?

So i have medium length thin hair and i love it, only I need to get it trimmed every other week because it breaks so quickly and it looks stringy then. What's a good shamppo/conditioner that will prevent this? What is the best shampoo system for thin hair that breaks easily?
I love the bumble and bumble shampoos! They smell so good and theres one for a lot of hair types. They are a little pricey, but worth it.

You can search around on their website and stuff, and it's sold at harmon, walgreens, and I guess any drug store.

I haven't tried it, but there's been commercials for the Panteen Beautiful Lengths Shampoo that's supposed to prevent split ends and stuff, so maybe you should try that, and it is a little cheaper

i dont really think there is one and if a shampoo/conditioner product says it does its a lie. Im sorry but there is no way to prevent this. I know thats not the answer u wanted to here but trust me I have had the same problem for years.
My hair is the same way and I use Bumble and Bumble gentle shampoo and super rich conditioner. It works great! I have tried everything cheap and expensive and I am happy with this or Pureology.

What is the best shampoo for puppies with white coats?

My puppy keeps laying in her urine when she's in the cage and it's starting to stain her coat. She's too pretty and I want to keep her white and not yellow. Im in Michigan. What is the best shampoo for puppies with white coats?
Earth bath is the best out there. Its a little spendy, but works great and is all natural. You may consider getting her the puppy kind if she is very young, but they also have a bright white type that makes a white dog brighter in color. You will also use less shampoo with this brand because a little goes a long ways. I buy mine at the grange, I live in Oregon so I don't know if they have one of those there. I am sure a local pet store carries it but the grange is the cheapest place if you have one in your area.

Here is the website to earth bath. It really works great!

Hartz Whitening shampoo, you can buy it at wal-mart,it works everytime for our Shih-Tzu puppy, and it smells really good :) It's about $3.00 for a big bottle, and you can smell the shampoo on them for at least a week I love it :)

go to a hair salon and ask for a shine and volume shampoo and conditioner also do a moisture treatment at least 2/week then you will have lots of shine , as for the bounce put some rollers in your hair and take them out just before you walk out the door and finish off with a shine spray,
I would look for a shampoo baised on your hair type rather than your hair color. look on here for product reviews http://www.makeupalley.com
Well, my hair is wavy/curly, but I would still recommend Pentene ProV Ice Shine. It makes your hair really silky and shiny and seems to give my curls more bounce.

I dye my hair once in a blue moon and rarely heat style but my hair seems to break easy. Also if you could also answer what is the best thing for nails that split and break. What is the best shampoo and conditioner to use to repair my hair?
You have more of a problems then just weak hair. If your nails are splitting and breaking, you need to start looking into improving your diet and vitamin intake. It sounds like your body is in disrepair, not just your hair and nails. What is the best shampoo and conditioner to use to repair my hair?
    pantene pro V
you have to try Dove shampooing
Hmmm... ive seen that happen to many of my friends..

1st of all u need to cut ur spilt ends,

2nd it doesnt matter how many times u dyed ur hair, u need to take care of it, go n buy different kind of hair oils like coconut oil, snake oil, rosemary oil etc.. just dont buy brand oils they got perfumes so it makes ur hair smell nice but yet still need repairing.

3rd thing u should do is eat lots of fruits and vegitables..

4th is what i like the best try homemade masks for ur hair...

here is some i use myself:

    1) to prevent split ends use:

Oil your hair twice a week with coconut oil mixed with fresh lime juice...

    2) if u felt it dry use:

Mix 1 tablespoon of honey in half cup of full cream milk. Massage on the scalp and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash with a mild shampoo.

Put on ur hair mayonnaise, Wrap the head with plastic wrap, 15mins then wash it off.

    3) Beautiful Gorgeous Hair Mask use:

After you shampoo your hair, pour 1 cup fresh lemon juice or vinegar through hair and massage and rinse with water. Apply your usual conditioner and wash with water. It will remove all the dirt and your hair will be shiny sparkling. Do not repeat this method before 2 weeks.

    4) for damaged hair use:

Mash a ripe banana with a few drops of almond oil and massage into hair. Leave it for about 15 minutes. Rinse with soda water and then shampoo and condition.

    or use:

2Tablespoon olive oil, 1Tablespoon honey and 1 egg yolk. Mix them well and put on ur hair, wrap ur head with plastic wrap for 30mins,

wash off with water 1st then shampoo it and condition it...

use this method once every month...

about ur nails they seem not strong ur body needs lots of calcium and vitamins, dont think of biting ur nails if u do u should stop.. then u need to go to the saloon or beauty center and ask them for nails stronger coat, or nails oil with vitamins.. that should work well ...
You could try Matrix fortifying shampoo and conditioner. It helps to repair damaged hair. I am a hair dresser and I have seen the results. Amazing!!
I like using Anti-Frizz spray glosser once hair is dry (no blow-drying!), right after shampooing and conditioning, and the day after I wash. It helps to protect the ends. use Garnier Fructis range for dry hair
Nexus Therappe shampoo and Humectress conditioner.
I agree with the previous answer, Aveda Sapp Moss rules! However, be careful not to use too much of the conditioner at one time, it can leave your hair weighed down and greasy in appearance. It is the best detangler so that when you are combing your hair after shampooing you are not causing more damage as well.
Aveda Sap Moss Conditioner and Shampoo

The shampoo makes your hair clean without stripping it and adds moisture. The conditioner is a detangler that's uber-moisturizing to your hair.
Buy Garnier Fructis,I love both the shampoo and the conditioner. And for the nails, buy nail stenghtener that contains calcium

Tigi Bed Head Moisture Maniac not only smells amazing, but it makes your hair very, very soft. You can find it at salons, beauty supply stores, and even Target.

Oh, and don't throw away the shampoos and conditioners that you don't like! I was thinking that you might want to check out Clean The World ( http://www.cleantheworld.org ) and perhaps send your used shampoos and conditioners to them via Central Care Mission. I'm a big fan of good hair products, but any that don't suit my fancy, or the tail ends of the shampoos and conditioners, get sent to them to help prevent disease and death in Third World countries.

Thanks, and have a great day! What is the best shampoo and conditioner to make your hair soft?
I actually use the Dove Moisture (idk what its called exactly) 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair. Then I use pantene pro-v ice shine conditioner... it depends on what works best for you, but I found that this is what makes my hair smooth and soft. Just try out different combos, like what I've been doing.
i used to have really severe damadged hair and it was NOT soft. so my hairdresser suggested using a damaged repair shampoo. so i got the SUAVE DAMAGE CARE shampoo. i used it and in a week my hair was rlly soft and felt amazing like i never used a hair straightner in my life=]

    hope this helps
I like herbal essences (they come in all different smells, colours and types of hair) tresseme (Cheap but gives you a lot and great for styling) and Aussie shampoo and conditioner (makes your hair RIDICULOUSLY shiny and soft. happy shampooing :)
The 'L'Oreal Nutri Gloss With Pearl Protein' shampoo and conditoner makes your hair soft and shiny : ]
whichever brand u decide 2 go wit make ur it iz 4 ur hair type...use less gel/mousse/hairspray becuz it dryz da hair out...use pomade, hair lotion, natural oilz 4 stylin...use less chemicalz n heat becuz they also dryz da hair out
I think Redken is really good. They have alot of great Shampoo and Conditioner. Its called All Soft by redken it works like magic. I hope i helped!

What's the best shampoo and conditioner to bathe my puppy in?

I have a 7 week old Aussie pup that I'm going to start bathing once weekly. I'm looking for the best economical puppy shampoo and conditioner for her. Any suggestions? What's the best shampoo and conditioner to bathe my puppy in?
Just get a puppy shampoo (or regular dog shampoo) from the pet supply store. One that has oatmeal in it, to keep the coat soft and shiny. No need to bathe her any more than every 4-6 weeks. *NOT* every week, you'll dry out your puppy's skin! Skip the dog conditioner at this point, too... if your pup is on a good quality kibble, you shouldn't need it.

In between baths, just brush her regularly to keep her coat looking good, and to stimulate her natural oils, which will help to keep her clean. If she gets muddy paws or a little dirty, you can use ';dog wipes'; or regular baby wipes for quick clean up jobs.

Good luck :DWhat's the best shampoo and conditioner to bathe my puppy in?
I don't think a puppy should be bathed that often. It will dry up the natural oils in the coat and can do more harm than good. It can cause the coat to become dull and scurfy. If the puppy is a little strong in the doggy odour department, you can purchase an ionic pet brush. You flick a switch and as you brush, the coat is bombarded with negative ions, which get rid of the bacteria that causes the smell. The dog doesn't feel anything other than the brushing and you don't end up eating soap. It is called a dry bath, and is much better for the coat and skin. I don't bath my dogs and they don't smell. Unless your pup rolls in something nasty, he should not be bathed weekly. IF, on occasion he needs a bath, then something containing aloe vera will be soothing and gentle.
What ever you do, do not use any of the shampoos found in your local pet store. Not only are they extremely strong and can cause skin irritation to you puppy. The best shampoo to use is, believe it or not, its baby shampoo, not only is it extremely mild but will not harm the skin or eyes. It鈥檚 good for you and your puppy.
Don't bath your dog on a regular basis, it dries out their skin and makes them itchy. I wash my dog with warm water (no shampoo)after a muddy walk and I rarely bath her. I have a shower attachment in an outbuilding and I pretended to shower her when she was a baby, consequently she is not worried about being cleaned almost every day in the Winter.

When I sink my nose into her coat, she smells sweet and so does my house.
I like DVM Pharmaceuticals which isn't cheap but one bottle will last you forever (I use HiLyt). There is no reason to bath your dog every week or even every four weeks. My dogs get bathed once or twice a year tops. They don't stink and they don't feel dirty as long as you keep them brushed out and have them on a decent food.
Once per week is TOO often! If she's a house dog and not coming into contact with filth on a daily basis, she should be bathed every four weeks or so. Her skin will dry and flake if she is bathed too often. Use a mild, puppy shampoo that is tearless. You can find an economical brand at the pet store.
i agree that once a week is too much but as far as shampoos here is what I recommend: Pet Aromatics - they are oatmeal based and don't strip your pups natural oils as much as the chemical ones do.

Really anything oatmeal based is better

    http://www.naturalwebstore.com/brand-PET鈥?/a>
If you keep your dog regularly brushed you don't have to bathe him/her but maybe one to two times a month. Brushing keeps their coat shiny, keeps them from matting and they will learn to like it. Invest in a good brush. I don't know how much they shed but if they do it will keep down on excess hair in your house.
Human baby shampoo. It is the best when it comes to tender skin of a small puppy. Even large or adult dogs can be shampooed with it. If you use something stronger you will need the conditioner but not with baby shampoo.
I use PearLyt Shampoo it is Soap-Free Conditioning Formulation with Oatmeal and Brightening Agents in it. It seems to work really good. It helps a lot from getting dry skin it keeps it moisturized.
We always used Johnson's baby shampoo as its cheaper than dog shampoo and does the same job, also as its for babies it doesn`t irritate the puppies skin.
I think probably so flea and tick kind of shampoo. And some conditioner that smells good. A little bit of both
    dog shampoo

I have the same issues, they got worse when I did a bit of a hair dye experiment gone wrong. I ended up dying my hair about 4 times in one week. I use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration shampoo and conditioner. I also use a heat protectant spary (Tresseme), leave in conditioner (Aussie-sun touched shine), and a conditioning mask when needed (Sunsilk). Also don't shampoo every day you can wet your hair or condition it. When you rinse out your conditioner, try to leave a little in. It also wouldn't be a bad idea to give your hair a break from heat styling once in awhile, maybe after coloring.
my hair is really dry and dead too, but since i started using pantene it got way smoother and it tangles less. dove is also good.

    :)
I suggest Dove Shampoo and Conditioner. It works so well. Leave the conditioner on for about 2 mintues and rinse it out, then it'll be hecka soft, and its shiny too ^.^

And for the heat damage, if you ever straighten/curl your hair, buy the heat protector thing first. Split ends, well theres really no way of getting rid of it, so just get a hair cut, or trim it. =]
Biolage and Nioxin are good but they are on the expensive side. Tresseme is not as good as them but it is still good and affordable.

What is the best shampoo to use for naturally frizzy, curly brown hair?

My hair's not super, super curly, but its enough. My hair isn't thin and it isn't extremely thick, its somewhere in-between. I'm looking for what I can use that would make my hair the healthiest. Even its something like head and shoulders, I do get dandruff often enough. I just want to know what the best shampoo to use. Also, conditioner and how often should I condition my hair, I tend to do it every other day when I wash my hair. What is the best shampoo to use for naturally frizzy, curly brown hair?
Well, my favorite conditioner is Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle rose. I get it at Wild Oats and it is really amazing. I think you should condition your hair everyday, but you don't have to shampoo very often at all, maybe once a week. On the off days you can use your fingertips (not nails!) to scrub your scalp with a cheap conditioner like suave naturals or vo5.

What is the best shampoo to use for naturally frizzy, curly brown hair?
Your hair sounds like it's just like mine. I absolutely love Nexxus' Therappe and Humectress shampoo and conditioner. My hair is soft, shiny, not frizzy! and I don't get dandruff. It works just as well as the bumble and bumble line, but it costs so much less and you can get it anywhere. I too shampoo my hair every other day, but I sometimes condition it as well on the off days if my hair feels especially dry that day. Hope this helps! ^.^
I have found it doesnt really matter the shampoo but it does for the conditioner. I use Tres Semme an thicker conditioner .

In between I use silk drops such as biosilk daily ( just a dab) to finger through my hair so it gets rid of the frizzies. I do so after my hair drys from washing and daily until I wash again which is every other day.
Regis Designline Hydrate Shampoo and a different, non-volumizing conditioner should work. I use them but I have straight hair. So, I had my friend, who has hair just like yours, try it and it worked like a CHARM.
Clear or Pantene its nice you can buy it anywhere
Use something from Herbal Essence. I love that brand.

It depends on your hair itself. everyones hair has different proteins in it and will work differently with every shampoo out there. there are so many shampoos out there for a reason! but interestingly enough, i tend to use pantene and herbal essences myself. i do switch over to infusim every once in awhile. generally one shouldnt stay with one shampoo too often. once you're hair starts to become harder to clean or looks greasier faster, switch to another brand for a bit then go back.. hair gets used to one shampoo and almost starts defending the chemicals in it which prevents your hair from looking clean. switching between two or three shampoos can actually be beneficial for your hair. What's the best shampoo to get soft, silky hair?
pantene and els茅ve and use hair creme and shampoo separately.

What is the best shampoo & conditioner you have ever used?

I need an excellent shampoo %26amp; conditioner for damaged/colored hair? Thanks. I have used a lot so hopefully it's not something I have used before. Thanks! What is the best shampoo %26amp; conditioner you have ever used?
No matter what shampoo I use, my hair does the same thing . . . to clean made no difference.

I LOVE the smell and lathers quickly, I use very little . . . with the Garnier shampoo now. I was a devoted Suave shampoo user (Strawberry) for years! One Shampoo I took back because it made my hair greasy was VO 5, only because they were on sale for 99cents.

Then, Herbal Essence, but I'm sticking to Garnier. What is the best shampoo %26amp; conditioner you have ever used?
Well, the best are korean hair care products. This is a conditioner and a shampoo together it's called water lily product in english. It's REALLY good! It's especially good on curly hair. There's also a conditioner called: Silky hair world in english. It's for normal hair. And it's also good. You can find these hair care products in a korean hair salon. They're really expensive though. There's an american shampoo product I like it called:Suave. It's for normal hair. Hope this answer helps bye! From:Sara
    Well TreSemme has always worked

    good for my hair.
My fav for the last year for my own hair is S-Factor for colored hair by TIGI. It is very conditioning and will protect your hair from future damage. It won't fade your color. Doesn't weigh your hair down.
nexcare is great for damaged hair. Get the shampoo with matching conditioner.
Wen by Chaz Dean! It's an amazing cleansing conditioner (so no need to shampoo). I had dry and frizzy hair and now I don't have to use any products to tame my hair! So if it can work on my long, frizzy, thick, dry and color treated curly hair it will work on yours =)
I've used alot of different ones, but so far my favorite is any Aussie products, especially the '3 minute deeeep conditioner' it works wonders on my hair
the best would have to be sunsilk becaus eit repairs and bulids at the same time.....and it smells good and is on the cheap side....try it for sure
    biolage colorcare by matrix
Herbal Essences is very good for colored hair.

  • What is the best shampoo for repairing damaged hair?

I dye my hair blonde every 8 weeks and its starting to get really damaged and brittle, does anyone know what the best one is that's affordable and available in the uk?

Thanks! What is the best shampoo for repairing damaged hair?
No product is going to repair your hair if you keep damaging it with hair dye. What is the best shampoo for repairing damaged hair?
first of all your hair is getting damaged and brittle because you are dying it too much. you should at least wait 10; preferrably 12 weeks inbetween dyes. this is because the lighter the hair dye, the more toxins are in it. (harmful to hair) also, you can try using certain products for your hair, but if you keep the dying up like your doing, then you may loose your hair all together. Im serious, even though some beauticians may tell you other wise..its b/c they just want your money. so i would hold off for a lil longer inbetween dyes and start using conditioners only. (shampoo drys out the hair) and it doesnt have to be every night either. letting your hair get oily is the best thing for your hair to heal itself naturally.

pantene pro-v is the best for damaged hair (conditioner). also you can do a deep condition either with the pantene or a conditioner of your choice and just leave it in during the night, or you can condition your hair and before rinsing it, blowdry it for 5 min. on med. heat then rense.
Its probably not good to keep dying your hair that often. When you keep dying your hair it drys it out and sooner or later it will be like straw. I would get it professionally done once so it stays for a while. It really depends on your hair for shampoo. Look around and try different brands, see which one works best. There really isnt a ';best'; shampoo. Sometimes it just depends on your hair..

What is the best shampoo to add volume to fine hair?

I have very fine hair and I need something that will add volume and not weigh it down at the same time. I've tried a few things and they always seem to just weigh it down or not really work. Any suggestions? What is the best shampoo to add volume to fine hair?
The Garnier Fructis Fortifying Body %26amp; Volume System (shampoo, conditioner, and spray, I think). I have really fine and long hair too. A The stuff works really well and you don't feel heavy-headed after using it.

What is the best shampoo and conditioner for african american women with relaxed hair?

I am trying to take better care of my hair. I am washing it once a week with KeraCare shampoo and conditioner. I am no longer using the flat iron and taking a multivitamin because I want my hair to grow and be more full. What is the best shampoo and conditioner for african american women with relaxed hair?
kera care line is great especially the kera care 1st lather, hydrating shampoo, and humecto creme conditioner are great. if you want to change try mizani and add a little of your own remix in there meaning try the chi silk infusion, a leave in conditioner like kera care or aphogee and wrap your hair when its dry to keep from using the flat ironWhat is the best shampoo and conditioner for african american women with relaxed hair?
Keracare is good- I use the Motions Conditioner with the silicone and Aveda Be Curly shampoo...have you asked your hairdresser what the best products are for your specific hair type? We can give you what works for us, but that may not be what your hair needs.
specially for african american.. you can go with organic hair care products

Try the shampoo called Mane and tail...or something like that. It is horse shampoo but it is really good for your hair. Also my friend has really kinky curly hair and she couldnt even brush through it until she got that.
i'm no expert because i'm not african american, but you could try the pantene pro-v line of hair products. I know all their other conditioners %26amp; shampoos are very good so you might wanna give it a try.
